M&T Nov 2016

November2016

May’s meeting will be held on Monday the 18th, 7pm. In addition to the in-person option, a Zoom link will be available.

Our May meeting will feature 3 member presenters. Paul will present on his drunken cutting board, Dan will talk about a campaign chest build that functions as a printer cabinet and Wally will present on his ice boat build. By the way, an ice boat is a wind powered vessel with steel runners that is designed to glide over a frozen body of water. Like all of our member presentations, this should be interesting, unique and one to not miss.

Meeting are best enjoyed in person, with the company of other members. That is especially true for meetings which feature member presenters. If you’re unable to attend in person a Zoom link will be available. Meetings are held at 476 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains NJ 07444.

We will start with announcements and “Show and Tell”. If you have a completed project, something in process, an interesting technique/tool that you’d like to share with the members, bring it to the meeting. We’ll give each person a minute or two to discuss their work  before we turn it over to our planned agenda.

If you’ve just discovered the North Jersey Woodworkers Association and wish to join, there are instruction on how to do so on the website. Simply look under the “Becoming a Member” section on the About NJWA page. The processes is simple and can be completed either electronically or via regular USPS mail. If you’re interested in attending a meeting to see if it’s for you, feel free to show up in person. Date, time and location are on the site. If you’d prefer to try us out via Zoom, send a note to the email address at the top of the main page. Make sure to do so several days in advance of the meeting.
